The Latest Installment

After some time learning Adobe Illustrator, I'm getting a good handle on creating vector illustrations without losing my style.

Really like how this came out.

Sketchbook project 2011...

So, thanks to two great friends, Ieisha and Wendy, I was able to participate in the Art House CoOp 2011 Sketchbook project. I choose the cigarettes and coffee theme. Keep in mind, I don't smoke and I just started drinking coffee when I got a desk job back in 2009...

Above you will find one of the many images I sketched in my book. This one in particular was very fun to draw and color. I used both a 0.3 and 0.5 Staedtler pigment liner and Prismacolor markers on this one.

Feel free to visit my Art House profile when you can.  Oh, did I mention that my sketch book along with many others will be on tour starting this March? Be sure to check out when it may be coming to your city!

Well and here it is another illustration... Up beat attitiude and chill vibes!

Working Zombies

Just read the comments. A while back I (March 2010) I prematurely posted I was starting a new career at a company in Ohio. Unfortunatley that venture did not pan out. (that company has merged with a larger corperation since then) Reguardless of these events, i have been on a slew of roller coaster rides on the unemployment train. I meet a lot of people looking for employment since then. Some are just tired of looking and finding all kinds of reasons to blame who/whatever. I'm using this time to seek the value in the skills I have now and learn more. Moving FWD everyday!
Some times this is the only sanity I can depend on, AAA can yoou help me? j/k
Did this illustration just for kicks. What do you think?

Smoke Break # 3

I was talking to a Project Manager after his third smoke break and, for all those who can relate to the image above; this is the thought that was running through my mind. I was a few seconds away from offering some Stride chewing gum, or better yet Colgate and some Listerine before the conversation was wrapped up. Thank goodness, I could breath again!
